Completing My 2nd Marathon, The Grand Rapids Marathon With Hope Water International

I completed my 2nd marathon today, finishing with an average pace time of 1:01 better than last year. It was still a tough last 3-6 miles of the run, but I finished with a good run the last 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile. I took it a little easier on one of the last couple of miles to help out a fellow team member from the East Michigan group that was having a rough go of it. I needed the break too as my last 6 miles I was fighting off some calf cramps. Overall it was a great day and I finished much better this year than last. There were so many that came out to cheer us on it made a huge difference.

An 8 Mile Tuesday For Clean Water

In a time when many of us are stuck in our homes I’m glad to still be able to get out and run. I could definitely tell things were quieter than normal when I was finishing up my run. I am glad to know that, so far, no cases of COVID-19 have been reported in…

Running 6 Miles And Feelin’ Fine

I keep wavering on whether to stop the half marathon training plan I’m on and switch to the #HWI #GRMarathon #training plan or not. When I get 6+ miles in and feel good I find it hard to go back to just 3 miles. The longer runs also mean more #GodTime so there’s that aspect…
