Kicking Things Up A Notch

Today my training run was kicked up a notch with some interval speed work. It definitely tested how recovered I am from the marathon. It’s been awhile since I have done any high intensity runs of substantial length. These sorts of runs do make it hard to spend a lot of time focusing on prayer unfortunately. It did however bring to mind during some of the intense intervals and help to keep me pushing on.

An “Easy” 5 Mile Recovery Training Run

Decided to hit some of what used to be a pretty regular route for me. I still tweaked it a bit though. Today was supposed to be an “easy” run but it was more of a “comfortable” run for me, basically if I was comfortable running a sub-8 minutes per mile then that is what…

Getting In A Quick Tuesday Training Run

A well in a village in Africa is an important part of the community, and something to be guarded for sure. You will usually see a fence around the well in order to keep animals and thieves away. There is a national standard for the well pump, which also makes it a target for theft….

    Battling The Cold And Wind

It was a tough early morning training run today. I can definitely tell that I haven’t eating well and getting enough sleep lately. Post Thanksgiving Long Run

So I didn’t manage to get my run in on Thanksgiving day, we had a very early morning and by the time the kids were in bed it was getting late and I just didn’t feel up to an hour long run that late at night. I did get out and get it done. #HWI #Run4Water #GroundhogMarathon #Garmin #Running

Rocking Some Worship Music During My 3 Mile Interval Run

It was a pretty nice cool morning for a run. It may be hard to get up early in the morning some days but it beats running out in the heat that is for sure. Morning runs make for a good quiet time as well. I’m usually rocking some worship music specifically put together as workout music. #HWI #KCC #Run4Water #WhyIRun #GRHalfMarathon #RiverBankRun
