Nailing The Saturday Long Run

This morning I really just ran to the worship music and went at the pace that felt comfortable. I’m pretty blown away to see how much I improved my pace in just a couple of weeks, where I finished with a 9:50 min/mi pace. I think the most enjoyable part of my run this morning was just being pleasantly surprised by the next worship song. When the next song came on I just got into a zone of focusing on the music and running in time with it. I loved it. When I run in the morning it has 2 main purposes for me, the first is to have a conversation starter to make people aware of the huge need for wells in Africa, and the other is to have a nice chunk of quiet time just me and God.

Back At It, Starting The Riverbank Run Training

I took about a week break for recovery after the Groundhog Marathon. Normally I’d start a reverse training following a marathon, but with only 3 months to go before the Riverbank Run I really couldn’t afford the time in order to get a good amount of training in. With some new shoes, and a fresh…

    Game Night With The Guys

Had a fun evening playing some Kemet with the guys. Took a long time to get through since most of us have not played enough to get a good strategy down. Played Kemet on 2018-07-27 at Eric Smithhart’s with 1) John (Naga Viper) as Yellow: 10 – Win! 2) Vince Isenhoff as Blue: 4 3)…

The Road To Water Can Be A Treacherous One

For many in Africa it is a long and sometimes treacherous road to get to the nearest place for water. Bringing a well to a village not only ensures they have clean water but also the safety of those young girls and boys that would have had to make the trip for water for their…
