Changing Focus And Changing Pace

I expected to have a better overall average time given my training plan had me doing high intensity sprints. It’s OK though as my times were faster than my plan actually called for. The 2nd half of my run was really a little bit of a wake up call on where my focus has been lately. Life has been more about me lately and I’ve been missing, or straight up ignoring the needs of people around me.

I may be a bit hard on myself but I’m one that always feels called to do better and not let myself just coast through life. Christ is the model of how even though we may be working on our personal calling our focus needs to be on others.

Getting It Done On A Monday Morning

It was one of those mornings where after getting up you entertain the idea of just going back to bed instead of get out there for a run. I got over it and hit the streets. It was a slow start, but by the end of my run I had easily picked up the pace….

I’m still $780 away from hitting my goal before the Grand Rapids Marathon on October 15th. I hope there are those that would be willing to partner with me to bring clean water…
