Joining The Hope Water Team Again

Donate to Clean Water in Africa: https://timn.me/2Kx7NEr

This morning started off with waking up at 3:45am in order to get to Johnson Park by 4:30am. Doing 15 miles I needed to make sure I could get my run wrapped up by the time the HWI Team met at 7am. I got done with plenty of time to hang out with the team before things got started.

Things turned out way better than the previous week’s run. On top of that I pretty much got in a consistent pace for the entire run which is pretty unheard of for me. It sounded like many had a rough last week. When the miles start creeping up things move to another level and your body is going to get stretched out of it’s comfort zone. In order to hit that half or full marathon mark this is exactly what you should expect. In 8 more weeks a bunch of the HWI Team will be hitting milestone firsts. Those of us veterans need to remember to come alongside the first timers and give them the support and encouragement they need to cross that finish line.

    Winter Running in April?

This morning was an evaluation run, but things weren’t so easy given that it had snowed and the sidewalks were more slick than I had anticipated. Not much else to share when I have these short intense runs.

Putting In Some Miles On A Crisp Tuesday Morning

This morning I opted to run without the cleats, since I could see that the sidewalks looked to be mostly cleared. Unless there is snow covering the sidewalks the cleats just don’t feel very comfortable to run in. It was a nice easy run, listening to some worship workout music: Christian Workout – 50 Best…

Sluggish Training Run But Thinking of ETC

Another training run in the books. I could definitely feel the soreness in my legs from the half marathon still. I could also tell that some bad eating the previous few days was affecting how I was feeling while running. I really need to get back on track with things. I did enjoy another day…
